Ways to Economically (and Sustainably) Update Your Kitchen
Updated: Aug 3
A beautiful home and smooth project require the right preparation, and it can be overwhelming to navigate as the homeowner, especially if this is your first major renovation. Let's go through the process and show you what to expect when you're expecting... a beautiful new home. (sometimes you can't fight the corny)

Intake and On-Boarding
During the initial inquiry, we learn about your design goals and style. To help refine your design style, we create a shared Pinterest board to pull inspiration. It is important that you and your family feel comfortable with the designer you're working with, so we like to take some time and get to know each other as well. If you're ready to move forward, we set up your design dashboard. Your dashboard gives you access to pay invoices, approve materials, and see you're timeline. The next step is when we get the design ball rolling!
Conceptual Design Phase
Initial measurements and room conditions are recorded to provide space planning, layout and elevations for your home. During this phase, we further refine your design goals through the Pinterest board and continually check in your design goals. Also, It is normal for goals to change throughout the process. Layout and elevations with general design direction are drafted for the next phase, and if permits are required they are submitted for approval now.

Detailed Design Phase
Let the fun times begin! In the design development, we take the information sourced from the schematic phase and start to put the materials together. Here you can expect your concept board, samples, and design plan. Concept board sign-off and material approval are required to order your materials.
Purchasing and Execution Phase
Once materials are approved, invoices are sent out to get the purchasing party started. Then queue Miley Cyrus and her wrecking ball so the contractor and subcontractors can step in. We visit your home at least once a week and periodic extra visits happen after key milestones in the process such as: prior to demo, electrical/plumbing rough-in, tile and cabinet install, and paint.
